Business trips usually last for a couple of weeks to a couple of months. You may already be too tired to go out at night, but you definitely need to maximize your weekends to have an overall satisfying experience. Check if you will need a car to get to the tourist spots. If you’re in a metropolis like New York or Hong Kong, use public transportation. But if your location is by the countryside, then you will need to rent a car from a trusted company, like Hertz. If you’re coming from another country, check if you can use your driver’s license in your new location.
What to do to enjoy weekends?
- Eat. Discover restaurants offering local dishes and delicacies. You may find something that you like that you never knew existed. There are tons on blog reviews and lists on the internet that you can check to see where best to dine. You never know, there might be a highly-rated restaurant just around the corner.
- Watch shows. You don’t have to go to Broadway or to West End to watch a good show. If you’re in the US, find out if there are big travelling productions that you can catch in a local theatre. Or if you’re in Seoul, for example, go watch a Nanta show. It’s an amazing non-verbal comedy show that will leave you in awe.
- Shop. There are definitely items that you can buy there, which are not available back home. You can find cheap but beautiful original artworks in craft and specialty stores. Or maybe, there are packed or bottled food that you can bring home to the family. You can also find out if your favorite items are cheaper there than if you buy them in your country. Order online or better yet, go to their shops if they’re not too far. Museums have shops that you may also want to check out.
- Visit parks, beaches, and museums. Relax. You don’t have to rush yourself all the time, and a breather will do you good. Place your feet on the sand as you sip from a bottle of beer while watching the sunset.
