But it can be fraught with issues, too, many of which may well signal the beginning of the end – and that’s exactly what you don’t want to happen! You should be able to rent a car that suits your route and destination well, whether it’s in sunny California or in wintry Minnesota. You can also spare your car the wear and tear that usually comes with a prolonged road trip.
Be careful about reading the fine print on the rental contract, however, as these may not be in your favor. You should also read the reviews on the local branches since each brand will provide unique experiences, whether for the good or the bad.
Coverage for Eventuality
Travel insurance is always a must when you’re on a road trip in a rental car – or in your own car, for that matter. You may not want untoward incidents to happen on the road but you have to be prepared for their occurrence. You should then ask the staff about insurance and check the contract, just to be sure.
If you have a credit card with travel accident insurance, then it means more coverage for you and your significant other. Many of these credit cards also provide auto rental collision damage waiver for overage of theft and/or damages.
